CONNECTIONS TO MODERN RUSSIA
Absolute Monarchy of France The absolute Monarchy of France relates to the modern conflict in Russia because no one liked Louis (the public ended up rebelling and executing him) just like many Russians dislike Putin. Similarly to what happened in France, the Russian people believe Putin is selfish and taking advantage of his power.
Bloody Sunday to Modern RussiaEver since the reelection of Vladimir Putin protests have been occurring throughout all of Russia. Lately the protests have had many arrests and we are predicting that if there isn't a change in leadership than the protests will just get bigger and bigger, eventually leading up to some violent event that could range from a police shooting, armed citizens, or anything along those lines. But this isn't the first violent protesting we've seen in Russia. In the early 1900s Russia was going through a major revolution that including an event that we know as Bloody Sunday. Bloody Sunday is when russian workers were unhappy with their current conditions and demanded change. They started huge protests to overpower their current leader, Nicholas II. During one of their protests police came out and shot many citizens leading to death and serious injury. Both these protests have been over their current leaders and the conditions of their country. We can predict that the protests going on now will end just like the last protests, with the end of the current leader.

The Execution of King Louis XVI Even though Putin did not get executed, the execution of King Louis XVI relates to what is currently going on in Russia. In Russia, Putin is highly disliked and disregarded completely with the people. Even though there is no execution, there have been attempts and the people want him gone just like King Louis was wanted “gone.”
March Revolution to Modern RussiaThe March Revolution was a protest just like Bloody Sunday, that involved unhappy russian workers. The leader at that time, Nicholas II, tried many times to stop the protests but failed each time. Nicholas II ordered his military to go out and stop the protests, even if it involved using their weapons. But instead of following their leaders orders, the military shot their officers instead, which increased the riot. These protests were extremely important because they led Nicholas II to fall from power. The March Revolution is extremely like the protests happening today. The protesters want one thing, and that is a new election that doesn't have Vladimir Putin in the running. If they don't get what they want soon there may be an event like the March Revolution that includes many violent deaths. The protests today are on the verge of getting as intense as the ones in the past, and from that we can assume that Vladimir Putin will have to fall from power, which will lead up to a new election in Russia.

Where Will Russia Be In 5 Years? Based on the events above we predict that in five years Russia will have had an uprising in the revolution. We believe that Russia will have a completely new government system, which will have Putin completely out of power. The protests in Russia will continue and slowly get more violent. We also think that with the protests getting larger that an important event will occur, such as Bloody Sunday or the execution of King Louis, and will change the Russian government system completely. The citizens of Russia will try their hardest to get Putin out of power and will demand a new election. With the new election the citizens will vote against Putin and make sure he will have no power over their government. The Russian history of Nicholas II will repeat itself, causing a new government leader.
